We all seem to do it.

Why do people try and talk to others when they've had issues in the past. You know, about a year ago you have a falling out with a friend, but then all of a sudden try to get back in touch with them and then you or them are over eager to get back in touch.

Won't it just end up the way it was before? Did you forget about what had happened in the past, you may be able to forgive what happened but did you forget? Sure they may have changed, but they are still that person who you had the falling with.

Something thats been on my mind.

As much as you want to delete their number from your phone list, or on social network sites - you don't. You still want to be connected to them somehow. You don't want them to know what your up to - but you want to keep up on what they're doing. I think it's something we all do.

And then there's those people who you have lost touch with, but still want to talk to - but you won't send them a message or call. And you try to see their Facebook page, but it's private and your like crap. Yeah - we all do that too.

blink of an eye

I saw a car accident today and it made me realize just how quick things can happen. The cars were pretty banged up and I immediately thought "wow I don't ever want that to happen to my car'. And then I realized that all the times I'm driving and get distracted by some little thing - it could result in a car accident or something worse. It's weird thinking like that, and if we always feared an accident we would drive ourselves crazy and never actually drive.

We can't prevent what we can't predict.

kids...

So yesterday I went to lunch at Panera Bread and the place was packed. There was one little booth that could fit 2 people. Right as my friend Kayla and I were about to sit down, this little 5-year-old girl darts around the corner and sits on the bench and just stares up at us. Kayla was very nice and decided to go find another place for us, but seriously...I wanted to kick the little troll out of the booth and claim our place. Some people and their kids I tell you.

Driving home.

Well the day started off early. Didn't get to sleep until pretty late last night and sleeping on the floor doesn't really help much.

I said some more goodbyes today, they are never easy.

Staring at the empty apartment as I shut the door, seemed like something out a movie. I know how cheesy - but it really was.

As I was driving home I was thinking about so many things. Certain songs would bring back different memories, it was again like a movie. So cliche. I even passed a real hobo in the middle of nowhere, I wondered what he was doing in his life - how he got to where he is now - but then I almost ran over a bird, so I got back to thinking about me. Not in a selfish way, just reminiscing.

It still hasn't sunk in the there will be no more school, no more late nights editing videos in Murrow - I'm sure someday soon it will hit me.

It feels great to be home and sleep in my own bed.

Long time..

So it's been over two years since I updated the blog I had intended to keep updated. I guess it's time to keep it current.

I graduated yesterday and things are slowly starting to sink in. Things went by so quick during the ceremony. When I was in line, shaking hands and having my name called - everything was such a blur. It all happened so fast and then it was over. All that hard work had boiled down to this...and yet it didn't feel real. It still hasn't set in that I'm done. I'm sure during the drive home tomorrow it will.

Having to say goodbye today to people was pretty rough. Spending so much with your peers over the past two years and seeing them everyday will now turn into delayed returned phone calls, facebook chats, and email updates. It's not fun when you realize the life you had become accustomed to, will drastically change. It's hard to put on a front when saying goodbye, but once you're by yourself - the emotions get to you. I have to remember that 'It's not goodbye, it's I'll see you later.'

I recorded my last session today at work. As I said goodnight one last time on Z-FUN, it sunk in that this is really it. The real world awaits. I will miss all my co-workers at Inland Northwest Broadcasting, we shared many laughs.

And I will miss everyone I have befriended during my time here at WSU.

Im sitting here in my empty apartment with my computer, vacuum and the last of my things, for one last night in Pullman.
